KIVU Resources is a mining and exploration company, with assets in the central African countries of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the Republic of Rwanda (Rwanda), principally tin, tantalum, niobium and tungsten. KIVU Resources is a private company. It is the intention of its shareholders to apply for a listing on the London Stock Exchange plc’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) during 2008.
KIVU Resources was formed in February 2006 following the acquisition of, and the investment in, MPA, MPC and CAR. Current shareholders are: Coronation Capital, a leading South African fund manager; Jonah Capital, a private equity company jointly owned by the Jonah family and Standard Bank International; Metmar Limited, JSE metals marketing company; the founders, Waseville International, a private company, Bruce Stride and Brian Christophers; and management.
